Tom Lewand Arrested For DUI

WXYZ in Detroit just broke the news that Lions president Tom Lewand was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving yesterday in Roscommon County (by Houghton Lake). There aren't a ton of details available right now, but Channel 7's Tom Leyden has posted Lewand's statement about the arrest on Twitter.

Lewand Statement: Part 1 - "I am deeply sorry for my actions and take full responsibility for them. As a person in active recovery...

... I am committed to taking all necessary steps to insure nothing like this ever happens again."

Considering Lewand is the Lions' main man when it comes to contracts and five rookies still need to be signed, this really couldn't have come at a worse time.
