The Rangers are backing off in their pursuit of Adrian Beltre and the free-agent third baseman is losing suitors, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

The Red Sox won't attempt to re-sign Beltre after acquiring first baseman Adrian Gonzalez in a trade with the Padres.

A's or Angels will probably get him.

At this point, its gotta be a forgone conclusion that the Angels will sign him. They hesitated last offseason in anticipation of this offseason, fans are demanding moves, they lost out on Crawford, and they need corner infielders.

I presume that reported $64M offer from the A's wasn't true after all.

The offer was true, but Boras and Beltre wouldn't even respond to the A's, so I'm pretty positive that ship has sailed.

It's too bad Beltre won't just sign a one year deal with somebody, because he seems to only play good when he's going to be looking for a job in the next off-season.

Idk where you read that because I read Boras say Oakland was one of their top options. The A's withdrew their offer last week. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/A-s-rescind-offer-to-Beltre?urn=nfl-292171

Makes sense for Oakland to walk away from beltre, because he has repeatedly ignored their offers. Might as well focus on interested players
That's from Buster Olney's Twitter.

Angels offered 5 years/$70 million....agent wants 6 years now.

Angels pulled their offer.
