Former Oregon QB Jeremiah Masoli is expected to be admitted to one of three graduate programs at the University of Mississippi, which should make him eligible to play as early as this season, a source told ESPN's Joe Schad.

Masoli would have to walk on at Ole Miss as he would not be granted a scholarship, the source said. But Masoli, a good student, would be eligible to possibly receive a reduced tuition cost.

Masoli is expected to make a formal visit to Ole Miss as soon as this weekend, the source said.

Woah! Great news for both sides. I thought for sure that Jeremiah would be forced to drop to a low end school like with the Perilloux from LSU.

Of course he will be. The guy has amazing talent, and being at Ole Miss with the speedsters the SEC picks up. Man, they might be brewing up something nice down there. It's gonna be a lot of fun to watch the Rebels play.

He's lucky that Snead decided to be an idiot and go pro last season.

Very good point. Snead made a retarded decision. He was absolutely NO where ready for the NFL game. He had a good arm...and not much else going for him. So happy the Longhorns made the right decision with Colt over Snead.
