Can't comment if it's a rip or not as I haven't seen the other one, but graphically this is pretty nice. NOt sure about the exposure. I would have softly erased it out from the top, so that it sort of fades as it goes higher and added a bit more on the render to really bring him out.

Its just certain things...not all of it. I wouldn't say the entire thing is a rip but maybe a couple layers
