Ben Roethlisberger has three desires as he enters the offseason: A tall wide receiver, the return of guard Alan Faneca, and a new contract as soon as possible. The contract most likely will be worked out, even if it does not occur as quickly as the Steelers quarterback might prefer. The other two are more problematic. Faneca becomes an unrestricted free agent Feb. 29, and while the Steelers plan to talk to his agent before then, even director of football operations Kevin Colbert noted Monday that "the price most likely has gone up." Still, Roethlisberger made his pitch to management that they try to keep his All-Pro guard, who has been a linchpin of the offensive line for a decade.
They will resign him, but I sure hope that they somehow resign Faneca cuz our O-Line is horrid.

did anyone see when they told Hines Ward about the tall WR thing?

"We won the superbowl without a tall WR"

not the exact quote, but thats what he said, and he is right..

but hey, it's not hard to find a tall WR in the draft.. i don't see why it's such a big deal.

Limas Sweed, WR, Texas 6'5
Malcolm Kelly, WR, Oklahoma 6'4
James Hardy, WR, Indiana 6'7
Paul Hubbard, WR, Wisconsin 6'4
Adrian Arrington, WR, Michigan 6'3
Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State 6'4
Keenan Burton, WR, Kentucky 6'2

all on the top 103 from the list Big Bid'Ness posted from Realgm.com (thanks BTW)

O-Line is more important in the draft than a WR.

Ben Roethlisburger actually looked alright in the pro bowl yesterday due to the fact he was throwing it to Chad Johnson and T.J Houshmanzadeth...
