Rockies Trade for Mark Ellis

The Rockies bolstered their infield by acquiring veteran second baseman Mark Ellis from the Athletics on Thursday.

The Rockies sent minor league right-hander Bruce Billings and a player to be named to Oakland for the 34-year-old Ellis and cash.

I know this is few days past, but this is looking to be a steal of a deal for the Rockies. He's calmed down a little bit lately, but when he first came over, it's like he couldn't miss. Hitting everything and anything. 8 hits, 4 doubles, 2 homers, 7 rbi's in the 1st 3 games with the Rockies. That's insane. He's always been a nice solid player to have. Can get you hits and runs when you need them.
