After Derrick Rose was placed on injured reserve once again early into the season, he understandably left the team to personally contemplate his future in basketball. That was totally fair, because the once-league MVP has sputtered out into a minor bench role player due to a multitude of injuries. It just wasn't working.
Now however, it looks as if he did leave for a personal reason, but I don't think he was thinking about basketball the entire time. I mean, who thinks about work at their wedding?
That's right. Wedding.
It is reported by BSO.com that Rose eloped with his girlfriend Alaina, who is pregnant with Rose's second child. He has a son from a previous relationship.
If this is indeed true, I can't imagine it would fly over well in the Cavs' front offices, or in the locker room for that matter, but that's in disarray anyway right now.
