Report: Cards re-sign Carpenter for two years

Sources told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the Cardinals and Chris Carpenter have come to terms on a new two-year deal worth about $21 million

I don't mind the move, but at two-years, $21M that's a lot of cash to tie up in Carpenter. He's a great pitcher, but he always seems to get banged up or tired throughout the course of the season. That being said, I expect another solid two years in St. Louis for him. Hopefully they have enough cash to get Pujols locked up now.
