Definitely not on Red Sox or Yankee level, because they would never make a deal that dumb, taking back two terrible players who are ridiculously expensive.

Crawford wouldn't even see the field til next year probably anyway.

damn the $58 was a random, out of the blue guess and it happens to be $59.2M lol

still holy shit. im gonna kill cherington if this doesnt lead to ellsbury being re-signed tho. and we better get something valuable for gonzo; we gave up casey kelly, rey fuentes, and anthony Rizzo.

we have a full OF anyways

and yeah this is crazy, but we still need a starter. beckett just needs a change and isn't on the hook much longer anyways

go look at Juan Rivera and james loney's numbers. Gonzo is the best available 1st baseman. everyone is locked up or still on rookie deals. best free agent 1B's are Napoli and Swisher

and Crawford. idk. he's been hurt. he's not worth the deal, but i'd take him. fresh start next year, who knows.

money isn't even an issue man. the new group is worth a few billion. we're going to be getting a new TV deal soon too. Lakers and Angels already got huge deals. we're next

Guess it makes sense for Boston to dump a couple of horrible contracts if they want to net some big FA's in the off season.

btw, Rubby is better than our top prospect. little guy. 5'11. threw 100, with a nasty changeup
thy compare him to Pedro

had Tommy John last year, just came back on Wednesday. touched 96. he was devastating in his rehab

mini Pedro

and he was just optioned to AAA right now.
uh oh

Blue Jays actually claimed him, but he's being sent down because of this trade i think

yeah loney's pretty pathetic
our 1st base platoon is an absolute joke. Juan Rivera and Loney. last week Loney hit 2 homers to raise his season total to 4. oooooh

Wow, Ethier-Kemp-Agon. Thats scary and Hanley in there, with Crawford coming back next season. Thats a potent lineup to deal with.

James Loney, Jerry Sands, Ivan Dejesus, Rubby De La Rosa, Allen Webster

sigh. Webster our #2 prospect. Rubby would be a top 30 prospect, maybe higher if he didn't have so much service time. barely lost his rookie status last year by a few innings i think
