With the 1st pick in the 2012 NBA draft, the New Orleans Hornets select:

Anthony Davis, PF, Kentucky​

The lock for the #1 overall pick, Davis will not come into the league and set the league on fire with his offensive game, but where his impact will be made is on the defensive end. Blocking and altering shots, rebounding the basketball, and just making it tough for teams in the paint in general.

With the 10th pick in the 2012 NBA draft, the New Orleans Hornets select:

Meyers Leonard, C, Illinois​

Austin Rivers and Terrence Ross were both also considered here, but in the end pairing the 7'1 Meyers Leonard with Anthony Davis was too much to pass up. Not only would we have one of the biggest (if not the biggest) front courts in the NBA, we would also have one of the most athletic. Both Davis and Leonard have elite athletic ability. Leonard has an impressive post game, but also has a midrange game. He, like Davis, also changes a lot of shots defensively. With being 7'1 and having a 7'3 wing, he alters a lot of shots (2 a game).
