Hoping in part to push along sales of NBA jerseys, more teams will wear uniforms with sleeves next season.

An NBA source told ESPN.com that as many as five teams will wear the short-sleeve jerseys as an alternate jersey for as much as 12 games during the season.

"We are interested in doing more short-sleeve jerseys when it makes sense," said Patrik Nilsson, president of adidas North America.

Nilsson said Wednesday that adidas is motivated to get more fans wearing jerseys while also innovating the game jersey for the players. The company pays roughly $35 million a year to be the official apparel provider of the league through the 2016-17 season.

They are supposedly much lighter, but it seems just really dumb

Fuck this shit
The adidas catalog says that 5 teams will have "pride" jerseys next year. Might be this type since the article says 5 teams

Heat, Lakers, Clippers, Spurs, Pistons

First sentence says it all. It's all about jersey sales.

i don't think it will help sales at all to be honest. Also, remove the sleeves and make it even lighter?

It will help sales just because it's a new item. People will want it.

I actually thought the sleeved Golden State jerseys looked good in-game.

Buy it a couple sizes larger, and it might not be a bad dress for your girlfriend. But for dudes, it's straight terrible

I'd be more inclined to buy the sleeve jersey than a regular one. I wear my jerseys with a short sleeve on under it anyways lol.

the only knock on the warriors jersey was that the shorts didnt match, imo.

Due to Kendall Marshall leaking his displeasure about them, the Phoenix Suns will wear orange sleeved alternates to their black road jersey

How long until this shit gets out of hand and the sleeves have designs on them and are a different color than the actual unis?

It'll look worse on normal sized people because of length. Looks meh on trey and he has an advantage of height to negate length

NBA just needs to not make jerseys so long when selling to the public. On court long is good so it staya tucked in, but they need to make the replicas shorter

MLB jerseys are cool because they arent long. Soccer jerseys too

It barley makes the Jersey lighter. Even though the jerseys generate a lot of hate, I personally like em
