Joel Embiid said on Tuesday that he is "strongly considering" returning to Kansas for his sophomore season.

"I'm not even thinking about it right now," Embiid said. "I'll make a decision after the season, but I'm definitely considering coming back to school."

Embiid entered Tuesday's game averaging 11.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game.

Many NBA executives believe Embiid is the favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft if he decides to leave school.

"He's a bright young man and he's going to weigh his options," Kansas coach Bill Self said. "He's considering coming back and he's obviously also considering leaving. He can't make a bad decision."

Why won't he? He's never come off the stance that he's strongly considering staying. I wouldn't be surprised.

He can actually, going back would be a mistake.

Anthony Davis said he'd "consider" staying at Kentucky too. He won't

100% chance he leaves lol I don't know why people get so caught up when players with such high draft  stock say they're "considering" staying.

Yeah he is gone. Becoming the consensus #1. You don't skip out on that.

Yea the money would be difficult to turn down. Could always finish school later on.

I guess he said that he and his family don't need the money.

The whole risk of injury is the reason I'd say to do it.

What else is he going to say? I wouldn't be shocked if he stayed, but he's going to go.

Who's going to have the #1 pick next year? Impossible to predict, but the teams with the #1 pick usually aren't very good for a reason..

You're gonna be sick when he stays but Jabari leaves.

Duke is winning it all in 2015 whether Jabari comes back or not.

I'm sure Dollar Bill has him making a high enough salary to justify staying another season.

Except his mentor is a nba player & his family has money. Pretty weak slander attempt at Bill Self.
