Three decades ago 23-year-old Nancy Argentino was found dead in an Allentown, PA. hotel room. That hotel room belonged to WWE Hall of Famer “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, Argentino’s then boyfriend.
The case, which had gone cold, was re-opened following a two-page letter sent to Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin on the 30th anniversary of her death.
The sisters were told not to get their hopes up, but with the case getting enough publicity that something might need to be done.
For those who don’t remember the case it went down like this.  On May 10, 1983, just a few hours after performing at a WWF TV taping in Allentown, Pennsylvania Snuka placed a call for an ambulance. When the EMS arrived they found Argentino injured, she was then transported to a nearby hospital where she died shortly thereafter. She had traumatic brain injuries consistent with a moving head striking a stationary object.  Which fit the story Jimmy Snuka has told of her falling, but she also showed signs of abuse a well. She had more than two dozen cuts and bruises all over her body.
Initially the corner had claimed that upon viewing the body and speaking to the pathologist, he suspected foul play and had notified the district attorney. The only suspect at the time was Snuka, and he remains to be the only one.
Neither he nor anyone else was ever charged in Argentino’s death and the case still officially remains open. In 1985 Argentino’s family won a civil case against Snuka, but he never paid the $500,000 claiming financial inability to do so.
Many claim that certain people were paid off to bury the investigation, but if you fast forward thirty-years those same people clearly are no longer there and Snuka is facing some serious charges. At the age of 70, Snuka won’t talk about the night, his wife claims it’s too personal for him and she stands by his side. It should be noted that Snuka was married to his wife during the time of Argentino’s death.
It’s going to be interesting to see where this goes, the family simple wants justice for their sister and Snuka wants this to just go away like it did 30-years ago.
