Janoris Jenkins signs with Giants

The New York Giants are preparing to make a huge investment in cornerback Janoris Jenkins.

When the team signs the former Los Angeles Rams defender at the start of free agency Wednesday, it will be to a deal worth more than $12 million per season, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

A second-round pick in 2012, Jenkins has spent his entire four-year career with the Rams. He has 257 tackles, 10 interceptions, and 48 passes defensed in 60 games.

Probably not worth 12 mil, but he's a solid corner.  Gambles a lot, but good enough where he can get away with it most of the time.

The championship teams of the Giants were never created through free agency. I understand that the defense was terrible, but its hard to hit on every free agent.
