So, a RP lands you 2 top 5 prospects but yet a top 3 catcher doesn't?

So it's Sheffield, Frazier, Feyereisen, Heller for Miller.

Feyerisen, and Heller are two power RP. Both with 10.0 K/9+ in the minors.

Having a lights out closer is much more valuable in the playoffs than a top 3 catcher.

Only the Indians could ruin my day the minute I wake up lol.

Jesus Christ. Trading our top prospect and arguably our top pitching prospect and two relievers tearing it up in the minors atm for a reliever. I understand the importance of having a great bullpen in the playoffs but damn.

We are going to highly regret this one in a few years.

I'm banking on them moving Miller for a decent haul in 2 years to salvage this. But it's still hard not to be excited, best chance they've had since 2007, and they have at least a two year window

His value will probably be a third of this package by then. If I'm the Indians I would still be looking around for a corner outfielder. Puig, Bruce, Khris Davis, someone with some power. If we are going all in then we might as well go all in. I'm not saying trade the whole farm but we should make another splash.

Untouchables should be Zimmer, Tristen McKenzie, Bobby Bradley, and Will Benson. Everyone else I could stand to see go but if we trade any of those guys then we are definitely doing way too much.

btw, does this change your perspective of moving Brantley to 1B at all? No need to open two OF spots now.

I still think it will happen eventually. Maybe not as quickly, but it still makes sense to me.

I think it would be better to use him as set up so we can extend him for multiple innings in games.

As a Tigers fan this deal scares me a whole lot more than the Lucroy trade would have.

Miller is fucking terrifying.
