Lombard shocks the MMA World at Bellator 18, knocking out MMA veteran Jay Silva in 6 seconds:
Pretty impressive for Lombard, the current Bellator Middleweight Champion. Jay Silva is no 'slouch' either. Silva didn't fare too well in his 2-fight UFC stint but he was expected to give Lombard a hard time in that fight. Originally, Lombard was supposed to fight Paulo Filho...however Filho pulled out after not being able to agree to travel arrangements with the promotion.
Lombard is probably the best Middleweight you've never heard of. At 32 and carrying a record of 26-2-1, Lombard hasn't lost a fight since losing the decision to Mousasi, at PRIDE Bullshido 13, in 2006.
