The Atlanta Hawks are entertaining trade offers around the league for forward Josh Smith, but have yet to decide whether they will deal the ninth-year forward, according to league sources. The Hawks met with Smith’s representatives this week, at which point the team indicated it was not willing to give Smith a max contract after this season, according to a source.

Might not be a natural 3 but would still be better than a majority of the starting SFs in the league.

He'd be a nice fit with Rondo

But I want Rondo out so its irrelephant.

Unless its like Fab+Green+JET, I'd pass

He's a great PG to have when you have other talent around him

He's going to be awful when our starting 5 is Fab-Sullt-Green-Bradley-Rondo. Nobody can score consistently, and we will be awful.

He has great value still so trade him for a Derrick Favors type player

Who'd be the number 1 option in that lineup? Sully or Green?

It'd be foolish not to play him at PF. Waste of his talent to be playing SF.

I have a very hard time liking the guy to be truthful. His shot selection makes me cringe.

A few days ago I was fucking around with the trade machine and thought that a Monroe + Maggs for Smith swap would be beneficial for both teams. (obviously before the Drummond injury..)

I have a feeling the Raptors might make a run at him though it could take giving up DeRozan or Ross, and packaging Bargnani with that. I hear Rudy is good friends with Smoove but that's just what I read somewhere, I can't really give it much credit unless I can find out where I read it lol.

I'd take Monroe over Smith.

I'd trade DeRozan for J-Smoove in a heartbeat if I'm Toronto

I'd do it only for the development of Ross. I don't want Ross being a 6th man for his whole tenture in Toronto. And there's no doubt we'd be a playoff team with J. DeRozan does have some nice trade value too. Will miss him though if he moves, definitely a favourite Raptor of mine.

That's not the question... But the Pistons just seem reluctant to play Monroe and Drummond at the same time, and I think you can have proper floor spacing with a frontcourt of Smith and Drummond.

because greg has said he doesnt feel that theyll be an effective duo yet. hes not comfortable playing the 4 fulltime.

So get comfortable, or trade him for someone who will be.

Think it is more of Frank not knowing how to put together a good rotation.
