Last night by some freaky turn of events...my mom's friend knocked my computer off its shelf and I'm pretty sure something is now wrong with my hard drive. I'm writing this from my desktop but I'm pretty sure the problem can't be fixed now so I need a new laptop. More importantly, I'm MUSIC LESS =(

I don't want to load up my mom's computer with Photoshop and all other sorts of programs. But I have another desktop computer that I can use...just with no speakers so that takes away a lot from it since I NEED music. Basically, I'm accepting the fact that my life is over and soundless and I'll find alternative methods of doing things.

As for The Sour Patch Kids...if I need replacing, I'll let someone take over. I'm gonna see if the problem is fixable but I'm googling and it doesn't look good...

The screen loads up then it says no device detected or something like that

When I run diagnostics and do that test systems thing everything passes...but the hard drive X_X

And BB, yes I am mad

I'm just praying I get a new laptop soon as a graduation present

Damn, well looks like your SOL. :[
It was working fine when I tried to load it up, then it crashed before I could log myself on, then it kept on going out before I could turn it on, then it stopped detecting the hard drive completely and it makes a little clicking noise for a couple minutes then it stops

One of the platters or something else inside must have cracked.

By itself because it just started making that noise like an hour or 2 after it was dropped. And it'll stop, til I try to reboot it again

Signs keep pointing back to NEW LAPTOP

LOL!

We all know how much Sheldon loves his porn stars.

As for SPKs, I've got it covered till you're up and running again.

I would just get a new laptop. Sucks though, you lost everything. Thats why I have an external drive and back up my music/files/etc. every week or so.

I have a friend who works on servers and <Censored> who has the ability to recover everything on hard drives and put them on storage devices. He said he'd put my stuff on DVDs or an external HD and give it to me and <Censored>

Really...I just don't want to re-download all that music lol

you coulda caught a hidden virus from DL all that music.

unless you're paying for the DLs, you risk catching a virus -- there's just numb nuts out there who like attaching hidden viruses like that

Your lucky you have a friend that does that, if you didn't it would cost SO much money. But yeah I know what you mean about your music. I have over 5,000 songs on my computer. Don't know what I would do if I lost them all.
