Looks like Kam wasn't too off on his Freeman/Kap comparison.

As I said, don't be shocked by someone like Kaepernick at 16. Drawing a lot of Freeman comparisons and Jags have interest.

It's the most realistic comparison.
Both 240 + pounds, powerful rushers, dominated college, weak system etc.

Weight doesn't matter.

Tebow is mainly a Powerful rusher, but Newton has some speed and flash to him.
Newton has better mechanics and a better arm. Worse character. Maybe weaker system than tebow also.

Tebow called plays, in the huddle. Newton didn't even do that.

OMG.
I'm not saying he's my number one, because he isn't a sure thing. I think in the end he will be though. I've said that multiple times.

I've only changed my top QB twice, after watching more film. Calm down.

If you think that at the end of the day, why wouldn't you just have Kap as your #1?

The Raiders do.

TJ Yates will be the best QB from this class.

I remember me and you watching a NC game together, I said "I like Yates as a NFL QB"

Jake: LOLWUT? Hes terrible.

I've said he will be good too, a few weeks ago.
He's going to be the shocker of the class. 5-6 years down the road and we have a solid starter.

Oh and Jake, if you have the resources, you should watch the Nevada vs. Cal game, plenty examples of Kaep going through progressions, and scrambling not to run, but pass.

According to Bill Huber of Packer Report, Colin Kaepernick's recent draft invite was sent by the league after "several teams" told the NFL he is the top rated quarterback on their boards.Huber is insistent about this information, citing "someone who knows" and presumably handles invites to Radio City Music Hall. Profootballtalk.com has confirmed that at least one AFC West team (believed to be the Raiders, Chiefs, OR Broncos) definitely has Kaepernick rated as the draft's top quarterback. With ideal size, arm strength, athleticism, and intangibles, it probably shouldn't surprise anyone if Kaepernick is a first-round pick.

I think from a mental standpoint and an offense concern the best comparison is Tebow or Alex Smith. From a physical build standpoint it's probably Roethlisberger (I think his throwing ability is also similar). From an athleticism standpoint it's probably Vince Young.
