Today is the day, Junior is hanging up the cleats for good. This completely came out of nowhere.

He has been awful this year, to me it was a good time to hang up the cleats. Congratulations to Jr. on having such a great career.

Imagine if he never got injured.

A little to late IMO. Should have done it before the season started. But congratulations to him and his great career.

Would be in the home run king area right now if it wasnt for the injuries.

People tend to forget he's belted 630 homers over his 22-year career, 5th all-time. Hadn't it been for the injuries, it's hard to even fathom where he would have ended up.

Easily first.
Nice to know he never had steroid accusations as well. You can probably call him one of the best natural power hitters of all time, easily.

I remember watching Griffey as a kid. Probably one of the most respected future Hof out there.

This should be the story of the night even though it won't be. I'll go ahead and say if he stayed healthy his entire career he would be a top 5 player of all-time.
