they really arent for sports and music though, but they should help. when i was using gimp i would still use photoshop tuts and psd's. i figured out what should be changed to work.

feel free to pm me and i'll try to help you the best i can, i haven't touched gimp in about a year maybe longer. i use ps now.

im not saying there arent people that are great at it but my experience with gimp was terrible.

I use GIMP too. You can try to follow PS tut's you just have to skip or make changes to some parts.
