Any small news pertaining to the draft or discussion related to the draft can go here.
The Wizards and Pacers are both making hard plays to move up to 2. Pacers are willing to move Granger in a deal that lands them the pick (they'd get Beasley in the deal). No way the T-Wolves would not pick him, granted they don't trade out.
IMO at least.
If Knight falls to 8, I would be shocked. But I guess the Pistons could always trade up, granted they were willing to give what was needed.Brandon Knight also said he'd like to play here.
I don't think the Wizards have the players necessary at all to trade for that pick. The Wizards and Pacers are both making hard plays to move up to 2. Pacers are willing to move Granger in a deal that lands them the pick (they'd get Beasley in the deal).
Question is, what would the Wizards need to give? I'm sure the T-Wolves would ask for McGee, but what else?
Think about it, in a weak draft, a package of McGee, Jordan Crawford, and the 6th pick might be pretty appealing. Only problem is the Timberwolves have said they wanted veteran players for the pick. We'll see what happens.I don't think the Wizards have the players necessary at all to trade for that pick.
If anyone is getting it, it will be the Pacers.
Not more appealing that Danny Granger and what ever else they are rumored to be offering.Think about it, in a weak draft, a package of McGee, Jordan Crawford, and the 6th pick might be pretty appealing. Yeah, but they're also giving up a lot. Beasley, the 2 pick, rights to Rubio perhaps even. Not more appealing that Danny Granger and what ever else they are rumored to be offering.
Yeah that's true.Yeah, but they're also giving up a lot. Beasley, the 2 pick, rights to Rubio perhaps even.
