The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a deal with right-hander Hisashi Iwakuma, reports Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

Iwakuma's deal with the Dodgers is believed to be a three-year agreement.

After Zack Greinke departed for the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Dodgers were in need of rotation help and Iwakuma - who tossed a no-hitter last season - fills the void.

Knew it the second zack left
Sneaky good signing if he stays healthy

A rotation of kershaw, iwakuma, ryu, mccarthy is very fragile but also the best in the division
Ill worry about ryu and mac later
Just stay healthy

This is a heck of a lot better than overpaying for a 32 year old starter.

Gave three years to a guy who turns 35 in April after complaining about signing someone due to what their age would be at the end

yeah but this signing isn't really much of a risk though.

signing one guy for 34m a year isnt a good deal
Especially at his age

Theyre not even done. Id rather have iwakuma, chapman plus another guy they'll get for marginally more than greinke

I just think the bashing of what the Diamondbacks did is hilarious from Dodger fans, and they'll (you) justify anything they do after the constant bashing of the Greinke deal.

Greinke contract was a risk and one worth taking to a certain point
Dbacks offered more and got him. Its that simple

So the dodgers, who were going to risk it and sign greinke anyways, are taking another risk

I dont see the problem at all

Damn the Dodgers are having a terrible offseason.

So much for getting Greinke/Price and signing Heyward, lmao

Dodgers arent trading any of their top pitching prospects
theyre planning on them pitching this season, maybe get someone at the deadline

They'll probably sign another starter or two tho

And then in 2018 theyre going hard after bryce harper. Itll be a good ol fashioned bidding war. Yankees vs dodgers
