D'Angelo Russell Named Lakers Starter

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott said rookie D'Angelo Russell will start the rest of the season after the guard scored 15 points and dished out six assists on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls in his first start in more than two months, per Baxter Holmes of ESPN.com.

Good for him.

Players like Mudiay and Jokic has improved recently because they were given more PT to improve their game.

They made mistakes earlier, but they are on track to fixing it.

Byron Scott, on the other hand, doesn't believe in DLO. SMH.

[MENTION=26]Panic![/MENTION] He hasn't believed in him because D'Russell has been a shithead not just because he's been struggling. He's been basically sleeping on defense, not taking pregame (or Kobe's coaching) seriously, etc

I agree that he should get PT anyway because the Lakers aren't making the playoffs but he's one of those coaches (another is Skiles) who rules by the principle that PT is a privilege not a right, you don't just get it because you were picked high/you signed a big $ contract, you have to earn it and he has not earned it.

Look at their game today, he only took 5 shots.

Lou Williams and Swaggy P took 12 shots each.

Lou and Swaggy are given the freedom.

D'Angelo doesn't have that.
