yes warriors had better record

Im saying he took his team further than the warriors

Hmm im sounding confusing

Warriors as the top team really wasnt all that surprising
Rockets on the other hand? The same team who made josh smith a valuable member, the team who lost parsons and dwight for half a season? As a #2 seed in a loaded conference? Cmon
Yes it was

What I'm taking from Mexi's argument, is that Harden did more for the Rockets individually than Curry did.

Steph scored 21.07% of the Warriors points this year, and had 27.53% of the Warriors team assists too.
Harden, in contrast, scored 26.02% of the team's points, and had 31.04% of the team's assists.
I agree that this was a good post but one thing you're neglecting is all the minutes curry sat due to the warriors' dominance, which surely affects these percentages.

That is a good point. Curry played 13.24% of the team's total minutes, while Harden played at 15.05%.

But even when you equalize the minutes played, by multiplying Curry's stats by the ratio of 15.05/13.24, he still comes out a little behind Harden (23.95% of points, 31.29% of assists)

The assists column is now effectively the same, but the scoring for Curry is still lower than James's. But thats a good point about the minutes played

With results that close, I'll go with the guy who won 11 more games and was more efficient

Makes me sick as a Kings fan to have to see this.

At least it doesn't come as a surprise though.

How was the Warriors as a top team surprising? They're the only team in the West that stayed healthy all season...

You didn't even pick them in the beginning of the year to make the playoffs

I'm going to change it up a bit and take some chances, with the exception of New Orleans. I think they'll make the playoffs, but not that quickly

West

1. Spurs
2. Clippers
3. Thunder
4. Mavericks
5. Rockets
6. Suns
7. Blazers
8. Pelicans

East

1. Cavaliers
2. Raptors
3. Bulls
4. Heat
5. Wizards
6. Hornets
7. Nets
8. Hawks
That's why they are surprising. Nobody thought they'd be hosting a Game 1 in the playoffs, and they end up the best team in the nba

I'm going to have to look at that thread again, because that has to be an absolute oversight on my part.

Hindsight is 20/20.
They were a 7 seed, lost in the first round, hired a coach with zero experience and didn't add any new pieces.

It's not that far feched that some people might have predicted them missing the playoffs.

I predicted a lot of crazy, stupid stuff, and I'm pretty sure the Warriors missing the playoffs was one of them too, but I'm also not arguing against Curry winning the MVP based on pre-season expectations.

I had the Suns making the playoffs. That was fucking stupid, on my part.
