http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2011-07-03/robert-mathis-reportedly-prepared-to-holdout-one-theres-a-settlementColts DE Robert Mathis who is set to make $2.41 million in 2011 will not be reporting to the team until/unless his contract situation is addressed.
According to one person close to the Mathis situation: "He'll never play another snap there under that (existing) contract."
Mathis signed a five-year, $30 million extension in 2006, and he's collected over $27 million of it, but the $2.41 million salary in 2011 is not enough for Mathis to play under.
He has recorded 60 sacks over the past six seasons and according to NFL.com that number represents the third-most in the league over that stretch, 6 more than All-Star teammate Dwight Freeney.
Pay the man!!!
