Colts DE Robert Mathis who is set to make $2.41 million in 2011 will not be reporting to the team until/unless his contract situation is addressed.

According to one person close to the Mathis situation: "He'll never play another snap there under that (existing) contract."

Mathis signed a five-year, $30 million extension in 2006, and he's collected over $27 million of it, but the $2.41 million salary in 2011 is not enough for Mathis to play under.

He has recorded 60 sacks over the past six seasons and according to NFL.com that number represents the third-most in the league over that stretch, 6 more than All-Star teammate Dwight Freeney.

Polian will make sure he gets paid. I'm not worried about this.

While he deserves a huge raise, I'm not sure saying this during a lockout helps his cause

Def not the best time to be asking for a raise even though he deserves one.

Colts shouldn't give him a raise then the Saints should sign him instead.

SMH. Wishful thinking. Polian and the Colts want to keep Freeney and Mathis as our bookends together, as they compliment each other and work very well together.

They won't be split up.

If the Colts learned how to run their team they would have beat us in the Super Bowl. Letting Mathis walk to the Saints would be a step in the right direction for that team.

Yeah, we would have beat you in the Super Bowl if we learned how to run our team correctly? :headsmack:
