Dorsey, the fifth overall choice in the 2008 draft, agreed to a five-year deal with an option for a sixth year, Chiefs president Carl Peterson said on Saturday.

A person who requested anonymity because terms of the deal had not been announced said it included a guarantee of about $22 million.

Dorsey's new contract is for six years but he can void the final season. Maximum value is $51 million. About $23 million of it is guaranteed.

This is great news for the Chiefs. Lets just hope his success at LSU carries over into his professional career.

Well we had luck with an LSU guy last year in the 1st round. Hopefully Dorsey does the same Bowe did but on the defensive side. He's supposed to replace Jared Allen as the face of our defense
