The St. Louis Cardinals have signed Lance Berkman to a one-year extension, details to come very shortly.

Good move. Berkman has been a huge piece of this team for the whole season, and has continued to improve and come up big when they needed him. There were rumors just a week or two ago that they could deal him, but I think this makes it obvious that that won't happen. Good move St. Louis.
