Butler jumping Conferences

Butler basketball will be leaving the Horizon League conference and potentially joining the Atlantic 10.

Horizon League Commissioner Jon LeCrone said Wednesday that he had been informed by Butler that the school is leaving for another conference. Butler did not confirm the departure, but scheduled a noon ET news conference.

The Atlantic 10 is looking to replace Temple (joined the Big East) and are said to be considering Butler, VCU, and George Mason.

Apparently both Butler and VCU will be heading to the A-10. George Mason staying put.
