One of the logical possible landing spots for Shawn Andrews after his recent dismissal was Cleveland. After all, Browns G.M. Tom Heckert watched up close the man that SI's Ross Tucker said was once the "best guard in the league."

It seems that familiarity isn't helping Andrews' cause in this case.

Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports that Heckert is "well-versed" in Andrews' history of depression and injuries. The Browns won't go after him.

Those that know Andrews best have thrown in the towel on him, which will give other decision makers around the league pause before making a contract offer.
