The Cleveland Browns selected former Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon in the second round of the supplemental draft Thursday.

The Browns lose their 2013 second-round pick in exchange for picking Gordon.

Gordon, who visited Cleveland last Thursday and Friday, ran a 4.52 40-yard dash in front of representatives from 21 teams at his pro day Tuesday, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Weeden
T-Rich
Gordon/Little/Massaquoi/Benjamin

:kobe:

Good young core, aside from Weeden not being young. Quality offensive line too.

A lot of scouts were saying that as far as talent, they had Gordon rated higher than Kendall Wright.

and Cleveland needs WR help, so I can see how they would do this.

I haven't heard scouts say he was better than Wright, but I did hear that most would have listed him above the likes of AJ Jenkins, Brian Quick, and Stephen Hill.

I will tell you this: he plays much faster than the 4.52 he ran (probably just didn't have a great running technique) and he's got serious size. Great pick for the Browns.

It might have been Quick and Hill that I read on second thought. I think Evan Silva posted it on twitter.
