Well I am new here obviously, you can find me in the cut thread requesting cuts usually. Well here is what I have been using them for. I make NCAA Football/Basketball 09 covers (and some others but only on the side) It is quite easy to do with Photoshop and a basic understanding of layers (I have no doubt everyone here could make one) If you would like to make your own you can visit my site (http://bigdmocovers.webs.com/index.htm) to download the templates and get basic instructions.

I will probably take requests from this place for the 2010 games if it counts as GFX, idk if this really does or not. I'm always open for C&C and for tips and stuff. Right now I think my main problem is probably skin.

Anyways, what do you set your layers on to get the efx?

I actually use a plug-in, although you can get pretty good results by following the instructions on my site. I used to use just burn and dodge and smudge, then used overlay on like 55% opacity, then I used unsharp mask for a while, and now I have this plug-in that gives me phenomenal results.

Talk to Titan2810 about giving it out, he gave it to me on another forum since me, him, and ghettoshark (all of us recently signed up here) the plug-in since he found it. I would definitely give it out since you guys have already helped me so much, especially with elibrary, but he told me not to.

titan already said no to me because it's the actual plug-in EA Sports uses and he doesn't want it to start floating around. it's copyrighted and all

I don't think its the real one but it seems pretty dang close. I'll have a talk with him, someone on OS already messaged me. I don't like to talk about it that because of this reason. But like I said I'd totally give it to you guys, I mean you can find it on the internet.

it was actually cyclone that told me he had the original plug-in from EA Sports, not titan. the ones available online are fascimile clones, but are pretty close

I never said i had the EA one, mine can get pretty close though to the EA effect.

I always see people posting these and the renders they use are always stretched and bad quality. But for once somebody has actually used these templates in a good way and made them look good. Nice job.

I know what you mean dude. People think that a 400 pixel picture would work good for a cover. I pretty much will only work with pictures 1000 and bigger. With an AP subscription and elibrary I can now find covers to match the 300dpi template I made. I wish I had made these discoveries sooner though, because if you find some of my older covers, they are really lacking in the quality department.
