Hey guys,
For those who don't know, bronco92 owns the rights to the advertising money here on SI. well, with the domains up for yearly renewal, he has decided to let them lapse.
Since I am Head Admin, he has told me to do with the site as I see fit.
Over the last couple of weeks, I have been in discussions with several large sports & graphics forums to sell Sportz Insomnia. For me, I would be making a huge profit, and for the members, it would allow them to grow with a better exposure to futurue members.
Well, I have finally found a suitor that is willing to pay me $1500 for the rights for the site. He plans on purchasing an up & coming graphics site and combining them into one.
As I am sad to say that I'm relinquishing control, I could not pass up the financials of this. I will remain on the site as a co-admin, but I will no longer be making the major decisions.
The new owner will be making a formal announcement this weekend on his plans, one is most likely re-naming the site to incorporate the Graphics site and moving to a newly designed site with more features. He is very good friends with actual Web designers who normally charge over $500 per site, so the site should be nice.
Anyway, I hope this doesn't lose some of you when we transfer to a new site, most likely meaning you will have to re-register. I look forward to the future of SI, or whatever it will be called in the following months.
