I am not really looking for it to make the awesome cuts that are at this forum, I am merely looking for suggestions to improve my cutting skills.

My main question is how do I smooth it out?

My cuts turn out smoother if I use the "pen tool". What did you cut this one out with? Doesn't look too bad, maybe you cut a little too deep into the bat handle.

i use the elliptical tool to smooth out. i use it on the original, copy. then, paste onto the cut layer
