I'm a big fan of his, so I think this is a pretty big pickup. What's the word on the value of the players that they gave up for him? I see they're listed as "top pitching prospects" however I haven't heard much about them.

I'm on board with what the Braves are doing. Andrelton can't hit, is about to get more expensive. Braves also have a SS prospect who is going to be really good in about 3 years. Plus Newcomb who they got in the deal is going to be a stud.

Hmmm...I thought you said knowledgable :D

Anyways, advantage Braves with this deal.

Sean Newcomb is a stud.

I can see it from both sides. Angels upgrade drastically at SS and while they give up 2 pretty good pitching prospects they still have some good young pitching, and depth too. Braves get rid of a guy who may never improve offensively and while they'll certainly miss his defense they got 2 very high upside young arms, they're quickly building up a lot of good young pitching.

Like it from the Angels side because they get a better, younger SS who they can probably control for longer, don't know enough about the prospects to evaluate for the Braves.
