OKC general manager Sam Presti and coach Billy Donovan were given permission to speak with Schroder before the agreement, and the three of them discussed his role with Oklahoma City.

Adding Schroder to the roster figures to give the Thunder another athletic point guard to play behind Westbrook. The Thunder like to play fast and Schroder enables the team to do just that in the second unit.

I think Schroder's value wont be next to Russ, but rather subbing for him
 
Dennis shot 28% from three on catch-and-shoot looks last year. That's not someone I want to play with Westbrook (especially if Roberson is also on the floor).
 
Instead of Westbrook playing 36 minutes a game, play him closer to 30-32 minutes but let him go with more intensity since he wouldnt have to pace himself as much.
