money wise they might not need to get rid of them, but they actually do. they have too much of a logjam. crowder needs to be the one to go imo. they need to try and land another big man.
But..... assets, man.

I would love to have Smart..
But doubt e have much to offer

I wanted Pat Bev too.. just love his intensity

I guess SanAn is still acting for a team to sign Simmons to a contract.. surprised he hasn't signed yet

The Pels insider guy started talking about how he would put money on them making a deal in the next 48 hours. Now he's talking quite at length about Jeremy Lin, who I mentioned a few days ago. Makes me think a trade for Lin is coming.

so boston has to trade smart. Like they have to

If indy just waited they would have forced boston to offer them a legit young guy with upside and not on a nasty contract

Just more stupid by the day

they don't have to

they can S&T Rozier and Jackson (as well as picks and olynyk but thats optional) to Utah for Hayward and they'll have the space without moving Smart/Bradley/Crowder.

But I was running some numbers, and just accounting for Hayward, Horford, Brown, Tatum, and next years two 1sts, Boston has like $38M in space below the Luxury Tax. So knowing how Isaiah is gonna make like $30.6M, Bradley like $22M, Smart like $12M... 2 of those 3 are gonna have to walk. But that's why its so important to keep Crowder, who's entering Year 3 of his $35M/5yr deal

I do watch the games, and like my eyes show me, Westbrook is just as bad defensively as Isaiah is. Thomas tries as hard as he can and puts up his numbers while Westbrook is lazy as fuck and gets his, but the defensive output is the same.

and also hardly got owned in the playoffs. his defensive numbers were far better (allowed 10/48 threes made which is near-elite), and carried the Celtics offensively until his hip injury in Game 7
