Lol at the Mets for lecturing puig about home run admiration

1. They intentionally walked joc to get to puig
2. It was a middle middle fastball and puig rightfully unloaded
3. If you dont like it maybe you shouldnt throw fastballs down the pipe to a home run hitter who you wanted to face

4. Cespedes pimps the fuck out of his homers. No room to talk

Puigs wasn't even bad. He took an extra second to go. Literally did nothing wrong. Im so sick of the scrutiny he faces for every little thing

But the real question is will the Dodgers save homeruns for the postseason?

Let's hope so

Pitching doesnt win in october. Offense does

How many homers did the cubs hit in game 7? 3 or more

Remember sandoval taking verlander deep 3 times

Etc

You could craft any narrative and say "that" wins in October. The bottom line is, you need to be able to score runs via ways other than the home run ball, and you need to have a good bullpen. I feel like these are constants

I think having a great bullpen is the biggest game changer in the postseason. Having multiple guys who are can come in and lock down the back end of a game is daunting. Look what Miller did for the Indians last year. They had three starters all postseason long and they still almost won the chip.

Exactly. The Mets have no room to talk. Cespedes is the poster boy when it comes to admiring HR

They are just moody because they made the WS two years ago and were supposed to be NL contenders for 5 years and they have just tumbled down a cliff ever since.

In a short series a lot of things can win.

Royals won it with a bullpen. Giants won it riding Bumgarner, Cubs were just a good team all around. Tigers had Price-Verlander-Scherzer got swept. Crazy shit happens in October.

Urias is having surgery on his capsule idk
Johan and Pineda had it. Ugh

Pitchers break. Trade your prospects. Luckily we're deep in the minors with young pitchers

He can take 4 years off and still be 25

I like that the Red Sox signed Doug Fister.  I know he's not doing well right now, but a couple years that guy was flat out dominant.  Hoping he finds his form again and comes into our rotation at some point.

DD is getting the early 10's Tigers back together. Brought in Fister and Jhonny Peralta.

Actually, that wouldn't surprise me. I would rather sign Papelbon then K-Rod though.

It's amazing how we give Hanley Ramirez even less of a role this year and he's still the designated hitter that can't hit. That's incredibly moronic. What a waste on that bum. Cut those stupid dreadlocks and you might be able to get a damn hit.
