we have a three game lead with 5 to go.
I'm aware.  Against the Yankees, that's nothing.

We have Porcello going today.  Not sold highly on that start.  Then four against the Astros who are on fire.  Meanwhile, Yankees play teams with losing records.

We're down 1 to 0 already.

You know, it's funny how everyone thinks I make this stuff up.

JD would have hit over 60 home runs if he was healthy all year.

It'll be a real shame if Francona starts Tomlin over Salazar in a possible game 4

Yeah giving up a homer to Barney is bad who has little pop in his swing.

I realistically would prefer to have neither go in game 4, but there's not much you can do. Fister is a disaster in the first inning.

Cubs win the NL Central again.  I figured they would straighten things out.

First defending champion to make it back to the playoffs since the 2012 Giants

2013 Giants didnt make it back, actually they were 76-86.  I think you're thinking of the 2009 Yankees because the 2010 Giants didnt make it back either

The Twins are the first team to lose 100+ games and then make the playoffs the next season.

It's really unknown if they straightened it out, but I agree, not surprised at all that they won.

It's hard to choose either at this point, but I think I'd take Fister because he has been brilliant in several of the games he's won, and he beat the Indians twice.  One game he baffled them.  Porcello hasn't been dominant against anyone really and he gives up at least one homerun every time he gets on the mound.

The only reason I would start Porcello over Fister is because unlike Fister, Porcello has little experience in the bullpen.  Porcello is also less erratic, but then again it doesn't lead him to better results.

2nd best record post-ASB in baseball, what are you implying here?

I am implying nothing.  I am stating it is unknown how good they are.  They have not played well against the good playoff teams and benefited from having one of the easiest second half schedules.
