At least Yankees losing is the silver lining.

Nationals = biggest postseason losers.  They choke every year, even worse than the Dodgers.

The JD-Backs might be trash

Also, I hope Fister struggles early on Sunday and Porcello comes in and throws shutdown innings en-route to a Sox win, just to see the hilarity that would take place on this board

This is why Kershaw has a narrative

He was done thru 6. He was laboring and it gave up 2 homers. Ok

But they leave him in and he gives up 2 more homers. Narrative now persists. His other games too. It comes down to not trusting the pen and leaving him in when he did his job

Thank god they were just solo

Four bombs is four bombs. No matter how you spin it.

Blaming it on a lack of bullpen help is a terrible excuse. And what do you mean they left him in? He went 6 and a third throwing 100 pitches. Thats not exactly leaving someone in there, especially when its your ace (and only two homers had been given up).

he was clearly done is my point

They let him go out there cause it was 6-7-8 and we don't have a true 7th inning or even clear 3rd reliever. They wanted to sneak Kershaw through one more inning to give it to morrow and kenley

Good thing we had a nice lead

The marte and mathis homers were lasers. Comical

Other than the 4 homers, the dbacks really didnt have much traffic on the bases. Dodgers got a few double plays too
Kershaw pitched very well overall.

Honestly, I can see that happening. At least the first part.

Fister will probably implode and fans will throw stuff on the field when we lose 8 to 2 for the third time in a row.

Porcello could have a good outing, but I have not seen him lights out all year.

I love how everyone is all over Kershaw, the best pitcher in the game when no one points fingers at other reasons.

I'm with Mexi on this one. I'd take Kershaw any day any time over any other pitcher. He's the best in baseball.

The whole "Kershaw sucks in the playoffs" is a fable in and of itself.

Pomeranz had a great year

Not only that, but he had a great year against the Astros too. I'm telling y'all, this team is laser-focused. They have this moxy. I truly don't think anyone will beat them. They are dominant in almost every aspect. Their only real weakness is their inability to throw runners out on the basepaths. They have the starting pitching to match any team, and their bullpen is great (not elite, but great). Nobody matches their offensive output from top to bottom. I am just excited to be able to watch this team. It is so much fun.

I look at stats for the whole year. Postseason is small sample size
You just qualified him not sucking in the postseason with regular season stats. Good work.
