I'm starting to dig Connor Cook. I think he'll make a good QB in the NFL.

He has all the right throws in his arsenal -- he's just not good at making decisions on the field imo. Not the best awareness either

Braxton Miller will make an immediate impact wherever he goes.

It also kind of feels like Michael Thomas has somehow gotten lost in the shuffle over the last month or so.  He seemed to be a near consensus first round lock, and now I rarely see him mocked in the first at all.

What real competition has Wentz really faced at NDSU?

I just dont see an adequate measurement against quality talent.

I don't get why Michael Thomas isn't a first rounder either though, he has all the physical attributes, great runner after the catch, and great at making contested catches too. I think he'll be a stud

Joe Flacco faced worse competition at Delaware. Actually, every other FCS QB that's made it to the NFL faced worse competition. Wentz's conference has been far and away the best FCS conference for quite a few years.

Also, I would argue Lynch didn't face much competition, either.

No college QB faces competition good enough to adequately prepare them for what they're going to face at the next level. The level of competition isn't as important as most people think, imo.

I don't give a shit about play competition for QBs

If you have the right tools (good vision, good pocket awareness, accurate mid-range throwi) you'll succeed. I have no problem with Wentz being from NDSt

My problem with him is his footwork and his stance. He has a very solid IQ and has the body but he's too hunched over for his height

His name isn't generic enough either, a great QB usually has a very common name

The Vikings or Bengals will trade out of the 1st and look for Michael Thomas in the 2nd round. I also think Braxton Miller is drafted by a WR needy team in the 2nd round.

Starting to hear Paxton Lynch is going to freefall into the 2nd round.

Well of course he is. He scored 18 on the Wonderlic and I've even heard that he's never made a line call. You also factor in that he's clumsy and slow and it doesn't bode well for him. Dude is not a first round prospect.

He really does. I'd be willing to bet he owns a pair of Uggs

"Talking picks one and two when we come back. Carson Wentz, will he be the first North Dakota State QB ever drafted?" - Some NFL Network guy

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he will be drafted
