He's a solid player, above average. To give up a prospect that highly touted/rated, I would need better, even if I have depth there.
It wasn't a fleece job, though. They traded one prospect who they probably have concerns with. It could end up being a slight overpay, but the trade does make sense for the Dodgers given they're in need of a steady hand at 2B.

Forsythe can hit lefties and also missed 40 games
Utley tailed off towards the end of the season

relying on a 38 year old to hold 2b down for a full season wouldn't have been the best idea ever.

2nd half utley hit .238/.283/.422 and still hit leadoff until game 6 of the nlcs, the dodgers last game

Forsythe is good cheato. Dodgers don't view JDL very highly and saw him as expendable.

*5.9. rWAR sucks.

But WAR per 600 is 3.5 for Forsythe and 4.0 for Dozier over 2015 and 2016. Not that much of a stretch.

Mets re-signed Jerry Blevins & Fernando Salas. Still have not added a SINGLE new name to the roster this offseason. Good to see the Wilpons are in win-now mode.

Baseball prospectus projects the Dodgers to win 98 games
Damn lol

Next closest is Tribe with 92

Idk about the projection, but i do know we're really really good and anyone who picks the giants is either uninformed or trying too hard

Twins at 80-82?  Not sure.  I think the Twins will be better than last season, but not 21 games.  I'm thinking more along the lines of 73 wins.

Royals anticipate that Hosmer is going to be looking for 10 year deal.

It amazes me people place him among the league's elite at 1b.
