Me too. He thrives in glamorous/high profile moments. I think he's going to absolutely show out. If the Cavs do make it to the finals and actually win, I think he would have a good shot to win finals MVP.

Dallas/Houston is very intriguing if Parsons can play and play well. If he can't, the series is already over, imo. Unless Rondo steps into the phone booth and Monta all of a sudden can't miss, I really don't see how Dallas can win this series without a healthy Parsons.

And I say that fully acknowledging how much better Carlisle is than McHale. I just think the Mavs are too depleted, right now.

There's always that outside chance that National TV Rondo comes out for the playoffs haha. Especially given the matchup against JET

Monta Ellis was having a real good season before the trade, was averaging 21 and 5 with a 54.2 TS% (29.4 usage) and the team was 19-8 overall.

Post trade he was 18 and 4 with a 48.6 TS% (27.3 usage) and the team was 31-24. It's basically a foregone conclusion that trade was a bust and they won't bring back Rondo, right?

You'd think so, but I have a feeling they would pay to keep him if the price is right.

If by "things go right" you mean Kyrie and Love retire tomorrow, then sure.

Isaiah could go off, but so could Kyrie, LeBron, Love, and JR.

The way you're framing this could be used to argue that the Cubs could beat the Warriors in basketball

Boston has, after rigorous mathematics and probability applications, exactly a 0 (ZERO) percent chance of winning their series with Cleveland.

Maybe I'm off base because I probably haven't seen all of our games against Boston, but I'm assuming they funnel him into Mozgov, and he just has little chance of finishing above or around him.
