The Los Angeles Dodgers are the new evil empire.

They signed prospect Hector Olivera and then traded him to the Braves and ate up his whole $28 million signing bonus.....
They traded Matt Kemp and will help pay $32 million to the Padres for his contract....
Traded a controllable All-Star in Dee Gordon for a piece that was flipped for a 1 year rental in Kendrick....
They have 2 players who should really come off the bench in Crawford and Ethier that cost $79 million to 2017!

Way too much wheeling and dealing that hasnt lead to any significant results.

They also got kike Hernandez, austin barnes and chris hatcher for dee gordon
And howie kendrick will turn into a pick

Trading kemp for grandal was a win. Pads are trying to trade him already and will not get anyone as good as grandal

Ethier had a great year so idk what youre talking about. He'll probably get traded for a decent piece too. Hopefully bullpen

Matt Kemp sucks and has an albatross of a contract.

You gotta look at trades like this fps

You signed kemp to a long term deal. Thats already done
You could either keep him for the 107M or only pay 32M for one year and be done with him while getting a great young catcher in return

Dodgers won that trade

As for dee, he had a great year. No one thought he would, but he proved everyone wrong and that's good

But kike, hatcher and barnes are going to be worth more in the long term. Plus a draft pick from kendrick

That trade was also fine

Im really tired of all this Puig hype that is unwarranted. Hes never hit 30HRs, 85RBIs or stolen 30 bases. Matt Kemp has done all of those things and he just hit 23 home runs and 100 RBIs with a significantly weaker supporting cast than LA and playing half his games at PETCO.

Supposedly the Dodgers had a logjam in the OF and ultimately I believe Kemp was the best one out of all.

As for the Dee Gordon trade, kike is a very good utility player, hopefully Barnes is more than just a AAA filler, and Hatcher was terrible from April- June and albeit improved the reamainder of the season. The Kendrick pick is no guarantee to turn into anything.

14 home runs and 53 rbis isnt a great year, especially considering he had less than 400 ABs

With Dee at the top of the lineup as leadoff and Kemp behind Gonzalez, that wouldve been a very potent lineup instead of Crawford and Turner.

Kemp's past three seasons have been close to below replacement level and he's making like, an aav what? 23 mil or something? That does not equate to being the best OFer the dodgers had, and clearly they didn't miss him at all last season. Keep in mind he's also on the wrong side of thirty, and has had a history of injuries.

Justin Turner had a .370 obp and .491 slg. Thats a .861 ops
Kemp was .312/.433 for a .755 ops

But yeah he's better than JT

dont talk shit about the Red Dream!

Justin Turner is the most underrated player in baseball
His nlds wasnt a fluke, and neither was him batting cleanup

Look at his numbers you'll be surprised

Grandal
.756ops, 115 wrc+, solid defensively while playing at a very difficult position

Kemp
.755 ops 109 wrc+ (average league bat), plays lf, terrible glove

padres take the l on that alone
