You're deciding between Kyrie Irving and Perry Jones. Do you go with the potential star PG with less risk, or do you take a chance on the 6'10 Perry Jones, who has superstar potential but also a decent chance to be a bust.

I'm not for sure that it will be out of those 2.

Depending on my teams' needs is how I'd go. If I was building a team from scratch (we have nothing) i'd get Eyring, because he's safer. We have all seen too many Darko's and Thabeets.

I agree with DJT. I'd go with Kyrie because he's show what he can do. Yeah, we haven't seen a lot, but still a safer choice. Only take a risk if it's a position you really need, or you have a great roster and just need to fill a roster spot. Not if your building off nothing.

I think Irving is the way to go.

I just don't like something about Jones.

Harrison Barnes
Barnes may be forced to stay another season if his play doesn't pick up.

With all the hype surrouding Barnes, he shouldn't be averaging just 11.7 points per, shooting only 37.6% from the field and 31% from three. He is struggling to score inside and outside. He averages more turnovers than assists, he isn't getting to the line at a high rate, and when he is he isn't hitting his shots.

If Barnes is going to go #1 overall, he really needs to impress people.

Kyrie Irving. He's poised to be even better than Wall.

Pre-toe injury, I would have said Irving for sure. Now I think it will be Jones because the big games in March are what really help a kid's stock, and Irving may not have the chance to do that (although I REALLY hope he comes back, play for it every day).

Kyrie...you know your getting 100 percent from him all the time.

You dont know if your getting that with Jones.

I would have to pick Kyrie, but as stated by CC. Those March games are what get your stock up so I might be saying Perry Jones soon enough.

Lol, why would Perry's stock be going up in March?

I'm aware of the tourney, but I can't see Baylor doing much of anything in the tourney which is why I asked the question.

Me either.
But if Baylor and Jones do well, his stock will skyrocket.

Even if Baylor doesn't do well and he does well, that can still raise his stock. No I in team, but there's two I's in FIRST OVERALL DRAFT PICK lmao ( =

Harrison Barnes has stepped up his play in the last 15 or so, even scoring 40 against Clemson. Could he buy for the first pick?

Nope he's not the top pick. I'd still probably choose Kyrie with the first pick. I'd give Terrence Jones some thought as the top pick as well.

Harrison has made himself a sure fire top 10 pick though imo.

Irving with a good showing (not necessarily stats, but if he looks good in the tourny) will make a strong case for #1. Either Jones could be it, and maybe even Sullinger. Much like the NFL draft, the NBA draft has no sure-fire #1.

I hope Barnes slips a little, cause I want the Cavs to pick him up with the Clippers pick.

I almost think Irving has to be the first pick. NBAdraft.net has Derrick Williams going first, and he's a great player, but I'm not sure if a tweener is worth the first pick.
