The Yankees and Angels are discussing the possibility of a trade involving first baseman Mark Trumbo, according to a source.

Los Angeles signed Albert Pujols earlier this offseason, making Trumbo somewhat expendable.

It's possible that New York could move reliever David Robertson in a deal for the young slugger.

Fuck no, the guy who had the best year out of all set-up men last year is not getting traded for a dude with a sub-.300 OBP.

K-Rob needs to stay and get his shot at being the heir to Mo's throne.

I agree, I don't like this idea. Their lineup is perfectly fine -- no need at all to take out a key part of the bullpen.

I’d much rather the Rays make this trade.

Idk why the Yankees think they need to add offense.

If we lose Robertson I will lose all hope in Cashman.

Not really.
sub 300 obp sucks

Robertson is the best reliever in the AL
if you're going to trade him, sell way higher than Trumbo

this has to be a fake report

I wouldn't go as far as to say that he's the best reliever in baseball, certainly isn't the best on his own team.

Relievers have such a hard time sustaining their success from year to year it's so frustrating but hopefully K-Rob can do that.

An OBP under .300 is horrible, regardless of how old you are.

i said best in the AL

best in baseball is Kenley Jansen ;)

if you want to say Mo is better than Robertson, fine. Even so, he would only be behind Mo and he would fetch more than Trumbo if the Yanks want to trade him

What's great about the Yankees is that we have the GOAT reliever... AND we have Rivera. I'm not trading the GOAT for a DH with a sub .300 OBP, regardless of how sure I am that he will live up to his potential.
