They might as well just schedule a <Censored> ass schedule cuz they're going to get love either way.

This is why Notre Dame has yet to return to title contention, they've played the most brutal schedule, year in and year out, since the day Charlie Weis was hired. They're playing the toughest schedule in football, meanwhile, trying to install new head coaches and new systems.

I have much respect for Notre Dame, they stay independent & very few times in a decade do they play some cupcake-ass team like Florida International or some D1-AA school. I think all top BCS caliber teams should play a schedule as tough as the Irish's and I think the game would be much better b/c of it.

Too many times a year do we see these BCS schools play half-assed non-conference schedules b/c they fear that 1 loss that will knock them out of the National title bid in first few weeks of the season. It would be too easy for Notre Dame to schedule all half-ass opponents, maybe a couple of top 25 worthy games, and then ride out the standings...wait for those ahead of them to fall. Look around CFB and this is what a lot of teams are doing these days. A lot of teams use the excuse that they're conference opponents are "tough enough".
