MLBTR says Grant Balfour is somebody who could potentially be traded before the Deadline. The 34 year old reliever is still playing excellent, having ERA's the past 2 seasons of 2.28, 2.47, and this year 3.14 in 42 games. His strikeout rate is a 6.7/9. though his walk rate has spiked a bit from the past two years.
Still has a 2 year deal worth $8.1M total, and 2013 is a Team option of $4.5M. There are plenty of teams in contention that could make a move to add another reliever -- Should the A's trade balfour and who do you think will make a push for him?
