Ryan: Young is still our third baseman

Nolan Ryan, in response to reports out of the Dominican Republic that the Rangers have signed Adrian Beltre, issued public support for Michael Young.

"As of right now, Michael Young is our third baseman," Ryan said Sunday night. "We haven't done anything."

The Angels have been considered the favorites to sign Beltre, but a Dominican report said the Rangers had reached an agreement on a six-year, $96 million contract with Beltre.

Very interesting, there has to be another move coming for Texas with reports indicating Beltre is very close to a contract.
