ESPN.com - The Big East is considering adding Boise State to help bolster the conference's chances of retaining its BCS automatic bid, though both sides still need to be persuaded that it's the right move.

A college football official, who spoke Thursday on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the Big East's plans, says some Big East presidents are resisting adding Boise State and the school itself has reservations about joining a conference in flux.

They would have to bring in another decent/good school or 2 before Boise state accepts this.

Plus traveling across the country for every conference game....doubt they do this.

Poor Big East, they are getting messed up.

Regardless of travel, Boise needs to join a BCS conference. Until then, everyone needs to pipe down about them making BCS championship games.. They play one tough game at the start of each year, then they play JV High School teams the rest of the way and all the people who never stop talking/rooting for the underdogs are up in arms when Boise doesn't make the title game after an undefeated season.

I would have figured they would be required to increase their admission standards to join the Big East, but then I remembered that West Virginia is in the conference.
